Doug Koch
Technology Practice Lead
Doug is a seasoned technology leader and former CIO who has spent his career sitting in the same seat as many of Intuitive’s clients. He knows what it means to own the full technology agenda, from strategy and architecture to budgets, vendors, risk, and day-to-day operations. Having led IT in complex, evolving organizations, he brings a practical, real-world perspective to every conversation about talent, structure, and priorities.
He partners with technology and business leaders to bring clarity, alignment, and momentum to their IT efforts. Doug loves helping clients build the right teams, define realistic roadmaps, and deliver initiatives that actually launch and stick. Because he’s led technology organizations himself, he can quickly connect the dots between technical decisions, business objectives, and the people needed to make it all work.
At his core, Doug is a listener and a problem solver. He draws people out with thoughtful questions, surfaces pain points that might otherwise stay hidden, and isn’t afraid to roll up his sleeves and pitch in wherever he’s needed. Clients and teammates count on him for honest feedback, follow-through, and a steady presence when things get complicated or plans need to change.
When things don’t go as planned, Doug leans into communication and collaboration. He focuses on what is known, what’s being done, and what comes next, while keeping everyone aligned on the outcome that matters most. His approach is straightforward: communicate clearly, fix the issue, and carry the lessons forward so the team is stronger and smarter the next time.
Outside of work, you’ll find Doug tinkering on projects, kayaking, exploring new places, or learning something new. He’s energized by family, meaningful conversations, and seeing a project through from idea to completion. And if he had a walk-up song, it would be “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC, fitting for someone who loves momentum and impact.
